KNOW and GROW

The Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program is a NSW Government initiative that connects employers with secondary schools across NSW.

TUC will be hosting a series of 6 career-focused workshops to connect students, parents and school staff with local industry partners across 3 key sectors in our region:

• Healthcare and Social Assistance

• Hospitality, Tourism and Retail

• Agriculture

The objective of these sessions is show students and their parents local pathways available into businesses & careers within industries that represents exciting opportunities in our area. 

SESSION 2: Emerging Industries

The second Know & Grow Session will be held on Tuesday 22nd August at TUC from 11am - 12:30pm.

This August session is for students to think about opportunities in emerging career paths, informed by these guest speakers:

• Hector Lucenti – Tech savvy Tradie’s - showing how robotics is shaping the future

• Col Steber – Circular Economies – see how innovative techniques recycle food scraps to soil in less than 24 hours

• Josh Hack - Technological Innovations - use of drones etc to change agricultural industry careers
